Vaotea is a village on Futuna, a small volcanic island in the South Pacific. The studio’s mark is the island itself — its ridge rising from the sea, the sun behind it, the water below.
It is a fitting emblem for the work: something shaped slowly, made to weather time, and rooted in a particular place rather than nowhere in particular.
